“Behold, we count them happy which endure.”  (James 5:11)

Be thou an example (no matter who you are)

"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." (1 Timothy 4: 12)

To my, soon to be missionary, and the rest of us

I have fought a good fight

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lust shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ear: and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables; but watch thou in all things, endure affliction do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry… I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.    (2 Timothy 4:3-5 & 7)

I hope that in the end I can say the same as Paul. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.  

The spirit of fear is not of God

Children

“Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowiness of mind…” (Philippians 2:2 &3)

Doesn’t this sound like something we would tell our children. Are we not all children of God.
