We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Al good things.

“All things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

My grace is sufficient for thee

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

The wisdom of this world is foolishness...

“Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God . For it is written He taketh the wise in their own craftiness… The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.” (1 Corinthians 3:17-20)
No comment lest I appear vain.

I will not come to you in heaviness

“I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness for if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad?” (2 Corinthians 1:2)
Paul was pretty upset with the saints at Corinth and preached strong words to them last time, (1Corinthians)  but now is the time for healing.
I need this scripture today. Ok, so I reprimanded you, It’s over, I will let it go now, and get on with the work at hand. I will give you the opportunity to prove yourself, to repent and change your ways even as Christ has forgiven me.

In Christ shall all be made alive

“If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable, but now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man come also the resurrection of the dead, for as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” (1 Corinthians 15:19 – 22)
Christ came to show us the way by his birth, life, death, and finally by his resurrection. Death is not the end. This time on earth is but a moment. We lived in heaven a long time ago and came to earth even as Christ did as a newborn baby. Just as we entered this life through the portal of birth we will leave through the portal of death to be reborn (or resurrected) back into the life we lived in heaven. It’s hard to remember that with all the joys and troubles of this life, but there is life beyond the grave.

Peace

“God is not the the author of confusion, but of peace.” (1 Corinthians 14:33)
I am grateful to be able to talk to God directly. No man stands between us, my prayers are answered individually. I am grateful to be able to question things I don’t understand. If I am sincere at heart I can find answers to all my questions. Often answers come from another servant of God, sometimes from personal reading scriptures and other inspired writings and sometimes they come by direct revelation. One way I know I have the answer from God is because he is not the author of confusion and I feel peace.
