We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

The Father hath not left me alone

“Then said Jesus unto them, when ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me. The Father hath not left me alone, for I do always those things that please him.”  (St John 8; 28 & 29)

None of us are as perfect as Jesus, the Son of man, and yet I believe that the Father has not left me alone. When the heavens seem closed to me and I have a hard time getting in the mood to pray, it is I who has turned away. It is I who has focused on some bauble or thing of the world, and forgotten my Lord. It is I who has not done those things that please him.
