Peter 1:6-7

This is from the first letter of Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ and is part of his salutation. In it he reminds his readers, the elect, of the knowledge they share of the knowledge in Christ of his resurrection from the dead.

"Wherein ye greatly rejoice, through now for a season, if needbe, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:"
