We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Be ye Perfect?

“When Abram was ninety years old and nine the Lord appeared unto Abram and said unto him, I am the Almighty God, walk before me and be thou perfect.” (Genesis 17:1)
Few of us are Abraham and have such an important role to play in the history or God with his people on this earth as he did, but if we work at becoming as Christ-like as we can, we will be a happy people. Am I crazy or what? Another name for Christ is Man of Sorrow. Is that happiness? Well, yes it is. When the choices are the everlasting gulf of misery which is prepared to engulf the wicked or living with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ which would you choose?
Some would say the first because it’s too hard to change, or that they have done such horrible things that there is no way they could repent, or that the gulf of misery is the only fitting place for them. To this I reply Satan is the one that wants you to live with your guilt and shame whatever it is. We have all been there one way or another to some degree or another. All I can tell you is that repentance is between you and God, but for me, feeling forgiven, clean and loved is far better that the pain of unrepentant mistakes. You never know until you try.
