We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

The covenant which I have with my people is not all fulfilled

When the resurrected Christ appeared to the Nephi’s on the American continent he taught them the sayings and parables he had taught in Jerusalem. As he taught he perceived that some had questions in regard to the Law of Moses “for they understood not the saying that old things had passed away, and that all things had become new.” (3 Nephi 15:2)
“The law is fulfilled that was given unto Moses. Behold I am he that gave the law, and I am he who covenanted with my people Israel; therefore, the law in me is fulfilled, for I have come to fulfill the law; therefore, it hath an end. Behold I do not destroy the prophets…”(3 Nephi 15:4-6)
“The covenant which I have with my people is not all fulfilled…Behold I am the law and the light. Look unto me and endure to the end, and ye shall live…”   (3 Nephi 15:8-9)
In other words, at the time this was given in A.D. 34 there were still changes to be made. Since that time hasn’t there come a falling away – the dark ages? And hasn’t there come a renewal, a restoration of the law of the gospel of Jesus Christ? God knows where we are in this process. The question is where are we? Are we still in the dark ages waiting for the restoration?  Or are we part of the work that is going on to prepare ourselves and our loved ones for the eventual second coming of Jesus Christ?
