We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Precept upon precept

“For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little, for with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people, to whom he said, ‘This is the rest wherewith  you may cause the weary to rest. And this is the refreshing, yet they would not hear.’” (Isaiah 28:10-12)
When I read ‘stammering lips’ I think of Moses. ‘Another tongue’ makes me remember that the scriptures, the written word, came to us originally in another language. And yet we will not hear.
