We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Lehi's vision of the tree of life

“And it came to pass after I had prayed unto the Lord …I beheld a tree, whose fruit was desirable to make one happy. And it came to pass that I did go forth and partake of the fruit most sweet, above all that I ever before tasted, yea, and I beheld that the fruit thereof was white, to exceed all the whiteness that I had ever seen. And as I partook of the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great joy; wherefore, I began to be desirous that my family should partake of it also; for I knew that it was desirable above all other fruit.” (1Nephi 8:9 – 12)
As I read this I think how I have tasted of this fruit, which is Jesus Christ the Lord, and yet, in my daily life I am sometimes distracted and put other things before the Lord. In so doing  I rob myself of so much joy.
