We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Pride goeth before the fall

“And it came to pass that I saw and bear record that the great and spacious building was the pride of the world, and it fell, and the fall was exceedingly great. And the angel of the Lord spake unto me again saying; thus shall be the destruction of all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people, that shall fight against the twelve apostles of the lamb.” (1 Nephi 11:36)
As I read this this morning I am filled with sorrow. The kingdom of God, his work and his plan will roll forward with or without us.  Sometimes we get so secure in ourselves that we fail to see that we have become stagnant, too comfortable, full of pride and that we will be among those who fall. In the words of a song … “Wake up and do something more than dream of your mansions above…”
