We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Follow the Son with full purpose of heart

“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, I know that if ye shall follow the Son, with full purpose of heart acting no hypocrisy and no deception before God, but with real intent, repenting of your sins, witnessing unto the Father that ye are willing to take upon you the name of Christ, by baptism – yea by following your Lord and your Savior down into the water, according to his word, behold then shall ye receive the Holy Ghost.” (2Nephi 31:13)
This is one of those scriptures that I have little to say about. It is so clear and says it completely --  with full purpose of heart acting no hypocrisy and no deception…with real intent, repenting, witnessing unto the Father that ye are willing to take upon you the name of Christ. Having done this then following through with baptism showing that you are willing to make a public statement of what you believe – walk the talk so to speak and make a commitment.  When you are ready then ye shall receive the Holy Spirit which shall be a guide, a comforter and teacher to you. (see John 14:16- 26)
What a sweet promise.
