We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

A simple promise

“If thou will hearken unto all that I command thee and walk in my ways, and do that which is right in my sight to keep my statutes and my commandments … I will be with thee.” (1 Kings 11:38)

Must rule in fear of God

David said, “He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in fear of God, and he shall be as the light of the morning.”  (2 Samuel 23:4)  He should be, but so should we be in our households, in our work place, and in our communities.

A witness of the Light

There was a man (or woman) sent from God whose name was (insert your name) “The same came for a witness of the light that all men through him might believe.” He (or she) was not that light, “but was sent to bear witness of that light.”  (John 1)

Follow the light

Lazarus the brother of Mary and Martha was sick and his sisters sent for the Lord. “He whom thou lovest is sick”
When he heard Jesus said, “This sickness is not unto death but for the Glory of God.” And he waited two days in the same place before he said let us go to Judea.
The disciples reminded him that they wanted to stone him in Judea. And Christ answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day he stumbleth not… but if a man walk in the night he stumbleth.”
Timing was everything here. Tradition said the spirit of the dead entered the spirit world in three days. Had Christ raised his friend before that the Jews could have said he was not really dead. The word of God is light and if we walk by his light things will turn out right. How often I have second guessed promptings and reaped the consequences. Will I never learn?

God is light

“The Lord shall be thine everlasting light.” (Isaiah 60:20)
