We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Change

Change comes with difficulty to many of us. We get comfortable in some cozy habit and we fight to stay there. In a perfect situation, as little children our needs are met by loving parents, but as we grow we are forced to feed ourselves, learn to walk, to read, and write. Eventually we are expected to leave home, find a vocation and try to reproduce ourselves. The history of the earth is no different. From Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden to the prophets of  old to the birth, life and death of the Lord Jesus Christ, to these chaotic last days we have evolved kicking and screaming the entire way. Acts records that Peter received a vision about receiving unclean things – the Gentiles. (Acts 11)
Peter doubted. I believe it is a good thing to doubt, and to question, but when the Spirit spoke he was quick to believe. We should do likewise.
