We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Is Christ divided into many churches?

“ I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel” (Galatians 1:6)  Paul told the Galatians. To the church at Corinthians he said:
“Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you…” 1 Corinthians 1:13 &14)
It reminds me of a young farm boy sometime around 1820 who noted an unusual religious excitement in the area where he lived. “Some were contending for the Methodist faith, some for the Presbyterian, and some for the Baptist.”  Joseph Smith, that young boy was raised in a religious home where the Bible was read daily. He happened one day to be reading in the book of James. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given him.” (James 1:5) From that came the restoration of the true gospel of Jesus Christ, through a second witness that did not dismiss the first witness (the Bible) but supported and testifies of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
