We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

My two cents on the priesthood for women

My two cents on the priesthood for women
Why would you ask for such a thing? That is like asking for the ability to breathe, or smile, or pray. You all ready have the priesthood, or the ability to bring down the powers of heaven. Does not the scriptures tell us over and over again that “what things soever  ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24 for one example tells us that.
From personal experience I know that no man, woman, or child who does not hold the priesthood personally will ever be without its influence if they believe. It does not matter if they are Mormon, some other religion or a vile sinner. If they come to that point where they know that God live, that Jesus is the Christ and atoned for their sins and they need a blessing they will be blessed by the priesthood.
Even our priesthood leaders only act in the name of God in order to carry out Gods work. They don’t decide who to give the priesthood to.  Mostly it is administrative, responsibilities and so on. Even there Mormon women have always had more responsibilities and power in the church than women in other churches. If you have ever held a calling in the church then you know the power that comes with that calling. You are able to make decisions give direction according to the will of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ within that calling. In our homes, we also have the authority to make decisions in regard to our homes. That leadership role is as powerful as any calling. If there is a priesthood holder in the family then as mother we serve as a counselor in that presidency. If we are single then we are the presidency and we are by no means alone in that calling.
Several years ago a twenty-two pound metal object hit me in the head. It’s force was so great that it put a sizeable dent in my scull. Yet it didn’t even knock me down and I felt fine, but since I was at work I had to report the incident. By the time I got to work med the dent was already smaller and there was no evidence of a concussion. They sent me back to work. Still there was the evidence of the heavy electrical box on the floor and the nurse at work had put her fingers in the dent and recorded the incident. It really happened, but I had received a priesthood blessing from angels on the other side and suffered no ill effects from it. The only left over effect is a burning testimony that no man, woman or child who does not have access to the priesthood will ever be without its influence if they believe.
You don’t need the priesthood. God gives that responsibility to whoever he chooses according to his own purposes. It is not a matter of personal desire.
