“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the
only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on
the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.” From the great
intercessory prayer (John 16:17)
Here we have the
essence of the good news – the purpose of our existence, our life here on earth,
the purpose for Christ birth, atonement and death on the cross. Have we found
our purpose on earth? Are we part of the solution or the problem.
