We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; in deed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul ... if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Ye are gods

“As the Father knows me, even so I know the Father and I lay down my life for the sheep.” John 10:15  He’s telling the Jews that he is the good Shepherd.  Christ knew who he was. Do we? The Father knows us, do we know him? Do we know that he created us – that he spiritually begat us and that he so love us that he sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that whosoever believeth in Christ should not perish, but have everlasting life?
I don’t know exactly what the Jews believed but the scriptures say they wanted to stone Christ and that what he said about himself and our Father in Heaven upset them. They said, “for a good work, we stone thee not; but for blasphemy, and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.”
Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said ye are gods?”
We truly are gods. The offspring of God, -- of a Heavenly Father we came down from heaven to be tried and proved that we will keep the commandments and find our way back home to heaven. Christ came to show us the way, to be an example and to atone for our sins that we might be clean and pure, worthy to enter our heavenly home.
